It turns out Manu Feildel is just like any average French man! He may swoon the females, and go home with 50 shades of red lipstick on his cheek but this MKR judge is more than what you see on this hit series.

When meeting this “sexy French chef” for the first time you anticipate a serious, soft gentleman dressed in a blue velvet suit jacket, smelling of beautiful French Cologne. Well, all of this is true, except Manu is full of a lot more passion and character than you would predict.

Joining Kitchen Warehouse with Chasseur for an exclusive meet & greet, Manu had our guests in awe and laughter, as he shared stories of life as a Dad, his latest challenge of becoming fit and healthy for his family, spoke passionately about his role as a judge on MKR, and the excitement around his third season of My France with Manu striking up his love for food.

Guests enjoyed champagne, grazed on our famous cheese table spread and got the chance to mingle with Manu. Our ladies (and gents) weren’t leaving without a signed cookbook, or piece of cookware and Manu wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Special thanks to Kristy Leigh for attending the event and taking some excellent snaps.

Manu stayed around the next day for a cooking demonstration in-store at Osborne Park to celebrate the launch of Chasseur’s new Caviar colour range. He whipped up chargrilled king prawns and braised short ribs of beef in red wine with the help of long time sous chef Tiffany.

Our enticed crowd enjoyed Manu’s banter, jokes and useful cooking tips while tasting his flavour filled dishes. Thanks Manu, until next time!

PS. Did we mention Manu Feildel is releasing a new cookbook at the end of 2016? Stay tuned!
