Over the years, coffee has gotten more attention from people across the globe. It isn’t just your wake me up juice in the morning anymore – coffee has become a main ingredient in many other food staples, including desserts, of course. In the spirit of the coming winter, here are 6 of the best coffee-themed desserts that you should definitely check out:

Originally published in Reminisce Extra, and now online at Taste of Home, this is a succulent dessert that you can whip up in minutes! Enjoy this no matter what the season: great for the summertime and winter all the same!
A recipe by Joanne Chang, it combines more than one aspect of what we love about Vietnamese desserts: super-strong chilled coffee, lots of sweet milk, and shards of peanut brittle. The photo alone gives the impression that this is a sophisticated restaurant dish, but you can replicate it in your kitchen in just 1 hour! See the full recipe on Food & Wine now!
This is my personal favourite from this lot. It is a great dessert to have and share around family and friends. Found on The Pioneer Woman Cooks, this recipe is by Ree Drummond. She says she’s a desperate housewife, but if this wonderful cake is what comes out of her desperation, then let her be desperate! Everybody loves a good, moist and spongy cake. Everybody loves a good cup of coffee. Put these two together and voila! And kudos for the name of the recipe, which quite honestly is a very fitting choice. Ree also posts photos of every step of the recipe, including the ingredients that she used, which will be perfect for baking newbies. With these, you’ll surely nail this cake with one try! 😉
Sara Buenfeld gives us this instant classic. Using instant coffee, a hint of Tia Maria, and the secret ingredient: Toblerone! The recipe first got published on Good Food magazine, and you can view it today on BBC Good Food. This recipe, which is literally done in just 20 minutes, is enough for 8 people – so if you like sharing, this is the dessert to try! Bonus: If you decide to skip the coffee and Tia Maria, you can check out its alternative Orange semifreddo recipe on the left hand corner.
