This cake is extremely easy to make and tastes delicious too!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Self raising flour, Sifted
- 3 tbs Cocoa, Sifted
- 1 cup Caster Sugar
- 3 tbs Butter
- 1/3 cup Milk
- 2 Eggs
- FOR FROSTING
- 120 grams Butter
- 2 ½ cups Icing Sugar
- 1/2 cup Cocoa
- 1/3 cup Milk
- 1 Tsp Vanilla essense
Instructions
- Pre heat oven to 180°C
- Butter a 20cm or 22cm cake tin and line with baking paper
- Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and combine well on a medium speed for 3-4 minutes or until smooth and creamy
- Pour the mixture into your cake tin and bake for 40-45 minutes
- TO MAKE CHOCOLATE FROSTING
- Chop the butter, place it in a bowl and cream it using an electric mixer

- Add the cocoa and the icing sugar a little at a time and beat into the butter
- Add the milk and vanilla essence, mix until smooth and light
