Ingredients
- 125g Butter
- 1/2cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4cup Golden Syrup
- 2 eggs
- 2cups Self Raising Flour
- 1/4TBS Baking Soda
- 2/3cup Buttermilk
- 1TBS Ground Ginger
- 1Tsp Cinnamon
- 1Tsp Nutmeg
Instructions
- Pre Heat Oven to 175C
- Beat Butter, Sugar and Golden Syrup until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs 1 at a time, beat well after each addition.
- Sift in Flour, Baking Soda and Spices into creamed mixture.
- Mix through Buttermilk.
- Drop level tablespoons onto lined baking tray 5cms apart, cook 10-15 mins until risen and golden.
- Allow to completely cool and fill with sweetened whipped cream, drizzle with dark chocolate if desired.
