Three yummy ice cream recipes you can make at home using the Zoku Ice Cream maker!

Chocolate Chunk Coconut Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup turbinado sugar (sugar in the raw)
  • 1 tablespoon spiced rum
  • 2 – 13.6 oz cans of coconut milk

Additions:

  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut, toasted
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds (optional)

Toppings:

  • high quality hot fudge sauce
  • toasted coconut

Instructions:

  1. With your Zoku Ice-cream maker remove the inner bowl from the outer sleeve. Make sure inner bowl is completely dry and place upright and level in freezer for 12+ hours.
  2. Mix coconut milk, sugar and rum in a blender until smooth and chill to 4.4ยฐC.
  3. When you are ready to make your ice-cream remove bowl from the freezer and place in the outer sleeve.
  4. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker, begin scraping bowl with the spoon immediately frequently stirring and scraping the metal bowl surface removing the ice cream from the sides of the bowl.
  5. Stir in your toppings as ice cream start to form.
  6. Top with hot fudge sauce and additional toasted coconut.

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

  • 1 1/2 cups rinsed and hulled fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk

Instructions:

  1. With your Zoku Ice-cream maker remove the inner bowl from the outer sleeve. Make sure inner bowl is completely dry and place upright and level in freezer for 12+ hours.
  2. Puree the strawberries, sugar, lime juice, vanilla extract and salt in a blender or food processor. Add the cream and milk and pulse to combine. Chill ice cream mixture to 4.4ยฐC and stir well before using.
  3. When you are ready to make your ice-cream remove bowl from the freezer and place in the outer sleeve.
  4. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker, begin scraping bowl with the spoon immediately frequently stirring and scraping the metal bowl surface removing the ice cream from the sides of the bowl.

Banana Soy Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup packed sliced banana (about 2 small bananas)
  • 2/3 cup light agave nectar
  • 2 teaspoons banana extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups plain soy milk

Instructions:

  1. With your Zoku Ice-cream maker remove the inner bowl from the outer sleeve. Make sure inner bowl is completely dry and place upright and level in freezer for 12+ hours.
  2. Puree the banana, light agave nectar, banana extract, salt and 1/2 cup soy milk in a blender or food processor. Chill ice cream mixture to 4.4ยฐC and stir well before using.
  3. When you are ready to make your ice-cream remove bowl from the freezer and place in the outer sleeve.
  4. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker, begin scraping bowl with the spoon immediately frequently stirring and scraping the metal bowl surface removing the ice cream from the sides of the bowl.
