Owing everything she knows about comfort food and cooking in the kitchen to her grandmother and mother, Olivia Noakes of Sydney based fashion & lifestyle blog Livvy May loves to replicate her Ma’s Curried snags.



  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups chicken stock
  • 3 zucchinis, diced
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 brown onion
  • 1tbs cornflour
  • 2 tsp Keen’s curry powder
  • 8 beef sausages


  1. Boil sausages for 6 minutes – remove and cool
  2. Saute onion and garlic in melted butter on medium heat for 5 minutes – add diced carrot
  3. Add curry powder and cornflour and cook till it coats the vegetables
  4. Slowly add chicken stock while stirring
  5. Simmer for five minutes
  6. Par-boil potatoes in separate dish – then add once done (should take 10 minutes)
  7. Slowly add milk while stirring
  8. Add potatoes and zucchini and warm through. Enjoy!
