Chocolate is one of the most traded commodities on earth. No surprise there, as chocolate in all its forms is not only a worldwide favourite, it has become a staple in many people’s lives, because not only does chocolate taste good, it actually makes us feel good.
The health benefits of chocolate have constantly been promoted. However, what a lot of people don’t know is that the type of chocolate that’s good for us is the rich, high quality kind with minimal sugar content and over 85% cocoa content. In short, much as we would like to believe it, commercially-produced chocolate is not actually very beneficial for us. And much as most of us would want to, high-end chocolate which is healthier is much more expensive.
